The Waterfront Pancake House

We're back!!!!

Last week I dragged Margaret out, as poor Jake was still in vet hospital but getting better (is now back home!).
Went on a lovely sunny Wednesday morning down to Lee-on-the-Solent, as we had heard that the former brassiere/restaurant located on the actual beach had been turned into a pancake house.
Plentiful parking at 10am along the front. Walked down and along the promenade by the beach to the café. Lovely location with views across the Solent, and a children's play area next to the restaurant.

The Waterfront Pancake House (no webpage link - but link to Facebook page) is a lovely semicircular windowed building so lovely views  Pretty empty when we went in. Vast menu of pancakes and waffles with a variety of sweet or savory fillings.

Good kids menu with icecream/milkshakes. Friendly staff. You can tell it is still in the early stages since opening, but the service was quick enough and cheerful.
Margaret had the 'Berry Mess' waffles,
The Berry Mess waffle
and I had the 'Waterfront Banoffee' pancakes.

The Waterfront Banoffee pancake
10/10 for presentation! Big portions with fresh fruit. We thought good value for £4.50 each. And we had our usual white coffees additionally.
I must admit the 'Full Breakfast' pancake does not really appeal, but the savory choice is there if you want it! It seemed like the menus are being added to, with an evenings special board - so worth keeping an eye on the Facebook page, and definitely worth a visit!
