Saturday we decided to go to Chichester for Breakfast. When we headed off it was cold but bright and dry. When we got to Chichester which is less than an hours drive it was raw and there was a covering of snow. After we parked and found it to be very slippy we decided to look for somewhere to eat which was close at hand. I'm a bit of a wimp and as I have broken bones before I do not want to repeat it. Almost the first place we saw was Charlie Harpers so we took a chance and went in. And, what a good choice it turned out to be.
You pass through a little arcade of shops which you can choose to sit or or as we did you go right inside. There is a very good choice on the menu and we both went for the All Day Breakfast. Service was very good and quick and our meal was served really hot. We had all the usual items including fried potatoes and fried bread and it also came with toast and jam. Very good value at £6.50. For one day a week only we let ourselves forget our arteries.
We had another reason for going to Chichester. We wanted to visit the RSPCA rescue centre to look at a couple of little dogs from their website. We had an hour to spare so on the way we stopped at Denmans Garden which we just happened to come across. We had a quick look round and picked up a takeaway latte from their cafe. The cafe and it's menu looked very nice so we may go back another Saturday for our brekkie. There were some peacocks wandering around outside and the lady there was telling us that their boy had either wandered off or been stolen and the girls were all stressing out for him.
Eventually we made it to the rescue centre but unfortunately the two little dogs that had taken my eye had already been reserved. But we shall head off to Mount Noddy again soon.
We've managed to get our walking in this week even though it is extremely muddy everywhere and very cold.
We've even managed snow today but by the time we got out it was mostly gone.
Well that is it for another week, but we shall no doubt find somewhere different next time.
Byee for now..................Margaret x
