Had a lovely morning out last Saturday (sorry for blog update delay!) at the relatively new
Wicked Waffle café in Portsmouth.
Just off the M275 so not far to go. Opens at 1000 at weekends (0900 in week), and as it is located in a high street we had a wander round the shops prior to it opening.
Small but lovely friendly family run establishment. Big icecream/waffle/crepes/sundae choice, pretty similar to Sprinkles and the bigger commercial chains - but same standard - and quicker and more personal service, so highly recommend a visit here.
What was good was that you do have the choice of a smaller/half portion. We both had the strawberry/white chocolate/waffle half size and a white coffee - all for under £10. Bargain!
Busy old week. Polly has managed a few walks out with Jessie and Peggy,

and on her rest day went to visit Granny (or stare at her lunch more like!).
We went, without the dogs but our friends Barbara and Chris, to the annual
Stubbington Fayre/Donkey Derby, always held on the August Bank Holiday every year. Sadly, for the first time in 15 years - the weather was appalling and it just rained solidly all day - which unfortunately made the attendance very poor - subsequently cancelling the donkey derby and public displays planned. We still enjoyed ourselves though!.
