Kings @ Botley

We had a very enjoyable morning out for brekkie today. We went to Kings country bar & restaurant at Botley. It is located within Pinkmead Farm equestrian centre.

Everybody there were so welcoming and our very flamboyant waiter greeted us as if we were old friends.

We sat right by the window and these are the views from our table.

We went for the Full English which was delicious. It didn't come with toast so this had to be bought separately and did include marmelade or jam or marmite(yuk). We finished off with a lovely mug of coffee. It was a bit pricey compared to others we have tried.  The breakfast was £6.95, toast was £2.50 a round and coffee was £1.25. Altogether for the two of us it came to £18.90.

As I said it was expensive but very enjoyable, food was piping hot and the waiter was lovely and so attentive. I did take the black pudding home for the dogs as I have not ever fancied trying it.  Even for someone like me who is scared of horses, it is quite exciting to have them galloping past, thankfully the other side of the glass.

Seconded from me! As a horse lover, you can watch the riding lessons through the window of the indoor riding school, though not for those of a nervous disposition or weak heart, when the horses whizz past next to your head! Lovely afterwards to go outside and look around the stables/outdoor paddocks if you fancy it. There are tables overlooking the paddocks, so you could probably have breakfast outside when it warms up, and therefore take the dogs with you (saves heading home with a pocket of black pudding!).
And not a horse called Findus in sight!
