Our meals were lovely and the service was excellent, although it was quite expensive compared to what we usually pay.
When we arrived at about 9.15 we were the only customers inside and there were a couple sitting outside having coffee. Quite a few people arrived by the time we left.
We decided to try something different. I went for the Waffles with bacon and syrup and Jan chose the Eggs Royale.
We both enjoyed our meals, my waffles were lovely and crispy with plenty of syrup. Jan's looker very nice, poached eggs with salmon on baps with a sauce. We had one cup of coffee and it came to £18.40. As I said it was quite expensive but altogether a very nice breakfast.
We went into Chesapeake Mill which is lovely to wander about. Absolutely packed with treasures, antiques, gifts, jewellery and lots of other things. Well worth a visit. We also went into Hemings which we always do when we are in Wickham. They always seem to have everything you have been looking for.
Finally we took the dogs to Holly Hill at Sarisbury for their walk. Quite uneventful compared to the last couple of weeks. It is a good place to walk when it is hot, plenty of shade and streams where they can drink. It is best to avoid the main lake with your dogs unless on a lead as there are ducks around. My two are more interested in the bread people throw in than the ducks.
Right, happy eating, happy walking and we will see what we can come up with next week.
