Piggys Cafe Woolston. Thorpe Park. Battersea Dogs Home..........

Busy few days at the beginning of the month! We went up to Piggys café in Woolston for breakfast on the Saturday.
Breakfast at Piggy's Cafe Woolston
Piggys Cafe

Got there for 0900 - good job as it filled up quickly. From what we can gather it is renowned for its milkshakes,
The yummy milkshake menu
but we settled for cooked breakfast for Margaret and pancakes for Jan. Good value for money (though the pancakes a bit dry).

Nice little café. Full of piggy ornaments, but fast and friendly service.
Piggy ornaments! (Margaret on Left, Jan on Right!!)
Monday we headed up the motorway to Thorpe Park (as Jan gained free tickets!).

Rainy day - but we were lucky and it held off while we were there.

Straight in and did about four rides in quick succession... Luckily we hadn't eaten breakfast!Margaret is much braver than Jan though - she wanted to do the bigger rides

Scarey ride for Margaret...
but Jan liked the wet ones!
Water ride for Jan

Had cheesy chips for brunch (forgot the photo - but it started raining heavily by then). Being that we did the water rides first it didn't matter as we were wet!

Jan had pre-decided that we must visit the Battersea Dogs Home at Old Windsor, as it was only 10 minutes up the road.

What a lovely place! The staff were so welcoming, and it was so quiet in the kennels, as the dogs were obviously so well cared for and content. So many lovely dogs of all shapes and sizes.

Toothy!

Aww

Polly and Patch!!

Polly and Peggy were lucky they didn't end up with 10 new companions!!

We all survived Halloween and Fireworks night.

Jessies scarey Halloween photo

Not too scarey!

Jessie and Polly seem worse affected...... Polly only settles on her mums lap.

Scared Polly

Peggy had an op to remove a large lump,

Miserable

Wonky shaving round op site
and they threw in a tooth removal/dental check, so she had a couple of miserable days with Polly looking after her,
Nurse Polly (yeah right - after leftovers really!)

but has bounced back quite quickly.

We didn't meet up much for dog walks, so Jessie has been taking it easy.

That's it for now - about a week behind so another entry coming in the next few days!!
